I and the Bird #41

The latest edition of I and the Bird comes from Melbourne, Australia – practically a next door neighbour – it’s only about an eight hour car trip from my home.

The host this time is Snail on her blog called A Snail’s Eye View. It’s about birds, nature, life and almost anything.

This edition has a particularly literary look at birds from all over the world. It’s well worth a visit.

I yes, I did get my contribution in on time for this edition.

Catch it here.

I’m glad you got your contribution for I and the Bird in on time. I really enjoy the lazy birder articles. I lazily (and luckily) get to observe Horned Larks on my way to school almost daily in January. (it is a required 45 minute commute to the university). Hey I gotta drive that way anyway!

Thanks Veery for the comments on that series of articles. I thoroughly enjoyed writing them and hope many others have enjoyed this light hearted look at a fascinating hobby/interest/obsession.

My wife and I often have extended meal times because of the bird bath just outside the window of the room where we eat. It is an excellent “waste” of time as the various birds come and go. The birding has been particularly good lately with all the really hot weather we’ve had.

And as a service to the really lazy, you even put up links to the previous tips. How good is that?!

All part of the service with a smile Snail.

Good job with The Bird and I by the way. Haven’t had a chance to sample but a few of the links.
